After the first step, you're tut says "Just go crazy with the gradient tool" when you've clearly used the liquefy tool.
Clearly? i actually never used liquefy once... all you do is use the gradient tool in random directions... there is no liquefy ;)

Ack... oops, biig blunder there. I thought that was the liquify effect. My bad.

Lolz. Ya. I didn't think that was possible with the gradient tool either. Just try it.
You can play around with the radial gradient (what the tut used) but I made an ok effect similar to that with the linear gradient tool as well. So idk. Try radial first, its probably better lolz.

Not bad! id say if you turn the saturation up when your adding a color it makes the details stick out a little more and gives depth. Also try using the gradient a little more... it seems like there isnt enough going on in it right now

Awsome tut i instead messed around with each layer instead of merging then coloring i colored each layer and it looks pretty sick. THanks for the tut +repped
also heres my outcome:
only problem is i didnt smart sharpen this yet so its a little ummm ya lol
