well im in a bit of a pickle

i like this girl that im good friends with, but i dont know if she likes me back, so i dont want to ask her out get rejected then ruin the friendship.

then on top of that i THINK her best friend (another 1 of my friends) likes me :S

so i dunno what to do...

Thats a confusing one hun, erm....
Have you hinted to her that you like her more than a friend...try not to make it too noticeable, but have a little flirt with her, see if she responds, if she doesnt, then try again, if still no, then id say she doesnt see you the same way you do her.
or you could have a drink with her, get a lil drunk and make a pass at her, if she refuses then blame it on the beer, say it wont happen again and youre forgiven lol, if she does take to it, then youre well away, but i think you need to find out if she likes you in that way first before looking at her friend.

your good friends, and thats a great start. that means, first off, if it goes bad you can still keep the friendship going.
the best friend..is hard..girls dont like to hurt their friends. BUT dont worry, i have two friends who like the SAME guy and have told eachother if one gets him, the other will understand. im sure if thats whats happening now..it will be the same.

I know i'm new and do not know many people, but I love a challenge when it comes to problem like this. First thing's first this girl is ur friend... how long you have been friends and how she act's arround you are major componants in what you're actions should be.
I mean if she's completely open with you about everything she views you as a best friend with potential.. that also includes you being the first to know something new. If she delay's what she tells you then it depends on what it is.. something imbarassing then maybe she has more feelings about u than you think. Something about a new boyfriend then maybe she's scared you won't approve.
All of it also has to do with the way she normally act's arround you, some girls are straight up about everything and yet won't tell their bestfriend everything right off.
On how you should approach this situation, I think you should probably hang back let the other girl approach you and watch how ur friend react's. Hre reacton may not be from first off either cause she may not pay close attention. Talk to her about the other girl being interrested in you and ask her opinnion on it... if it upset's her or leaves her a little boggled then maybe she has other thoughts on who ur girl should be. If she act's fine about it a few day's later maybe it dosen't bother her at all, main thing is that if she is ur friend it may take a bit for her to tell if she really likes you or not. Basically she has to see you in other relationships and get jelous. The jelousy leads to her wanting u to herself ^^; Basically I think of what would make me put my eye's on a guy friend of mine.

Just need to remember she can't know that ur testing it or even just trying to lure her out of the box. Could cause some poblem if she finds out b4 anything is found out. But... also the truth is about the best way to go.
Getting both of them together and talking about it and telling ur friend that you had hoped to see if there was anything more between the 2 of u, but if she's mot up to seeing then you would be willing to wait(assuming you are)
BTW I am just giving you a few options that do not include taking advantage of someone drunk... all guy's know girls are easy when drunk :x

wow thanks for that, i had never thought about the whole jealousy thing and talking to her about her friend. if i find out that the other chick doesnt actually like me then i think it would be a whole lot easier for me! thx eurika :D
