Animated Effect on a signature?

I have a made signature 400x100 already done (completed). How would I use the animated rain effect on it? I've seen lots of tutorials on it and I'm getting the same error done with it. On one step, it tells me to make new layer, add noise, motion blue 3-5 times. Then, it says to set layer options to soft light. When I do that, it makes the signature weird. When I play it in the animation, it starts off dark and then bright after the 5 frame?

the reasons i can think of is that u haven't followed the tut correctly or that u have made a mistake.......
(new layer according to the maker of the tut may be different to what it is for u..... try doing the steps with both duplicate layer and a new layer then check the effects....).......... try try again till u succeed...........:)

think v have one rain effect tut in our tut section........ try that............
