Ok i need to know how to get the same text effect in GIMP as you do in PS for the button avatars. I have already made the button but can't get the text like the PS ones.

wow nice job man.I really like the second one the best.I don't know if it's possible to get something similar or anything close to the PS one.But i do have a idea on how you can use it :) .Their are two ways this can be done.
1.Make letters from A to Z and keep the size big,so you guys can resize it to your liking.
2.Make a new font from A to Z just like the one munky uses.I think this one would probably be much better.
I could try making the font, but i'm not sure how to save the stuff.I'll look for a tutorial for that, hopefully i can find it.
P.S the font munky used to make the text was xscale.Look it up in dafont.com
EDIT:gah i'm not making the font to complicated.I'm reading munky's tutorial........and looks like you can do it in gimp also. Can you check if you can flatten image?i think you can, just don't remember how :? try right clicking on the layer.
