Has officially changed his name. LOL. On October 25, 2006, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, when his last name was still Johnson, he announced that he would prefer to be called "Ocho Cinco" ("8-5" in Spanish). During warm-ups for the October 29, 2006 game against the Atlanta Falcons, the back of his jersey read "Ocho Cinco" instead of "C. Johnson". Quarterback Carson Palmer ripped the label off the jersey to reveal the usual "C. Johnson". According to ESPN, Ocho Cinco was fined US$5,000 for the stunt (pending appeal) despite the fact that Ocho Cinco did not wear the "Ocho Cinco" name tag during the game.He legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ocho Cinco on August 29, 2008. The NFL and the Cincinnati Bengals decided to allow him to have it on the back of his jersey.Chad Javon Ocho Cinco (born Chad Johnson January 9, 1978 in Miami, Florida) is an American football wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Bengals in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Oregon State.Ocho Cinco has been selected to the Pro Bowl five times and named an All-Pro three times. He legally changed his surname from Johnson to Ocho Cinco (Spanish for "eight five," 85 being his Bengals uniform number.) prior to the 2008 regular season. In Spanish, "eighty-five" is actually "ochenta y cinco."

This has undoubtedly made my day. How can you beat this? Even if you think he’s a total loco person (like me) you have to admit that this is a funny move made to get around the rules of the NFL. That makes Goodell very unhappy. You won’t like him when he’s unhappy.
I just want to know if he spoke with Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Mark Super Duper before legally changing his name.
So go grab a beer (or soda), a large pepperoni pizza, and see what Goodell and Ocho Cinco do now.

He needs to change his name to Ocho Stinko. Chad Johnson has been a huge bust for me in my fantasy league. I went with CJ within the first 3 rounds to get a huge disappointment out of him this whole season. He needs to concentrate on getting back on track instead of media attention. As far as the name change goes, well thats just ignorant.
