Challenge to jeffsigs/etha/wolf/PatTheRat/hubdehub/diesel

Ok here is the challenge, its a completely new challenge that I havent seen here. Firstly, this is a challenge to the above people listed. It doesnt have to be all of you's, it could be just even be one of you's it doesnt matter.

Instead of US versing each other in a signature competition, we each pick one 'noob' and take them under our wings. We then have 1 or 2 weeks to teach the noob as much as we can about sig making.

The end result will have the 'noobs' posting their sigs and then people vote on which is the best sig. We (me/jeffsigs/Etha/wolf/hubdehub/PatTheRat/diesel) are not allowed to touch the final sig.

For example, say I chose oxigin as my protege. I can talk with him over msn and I can teach him stuff, he can show me what he has and send the .psd or whatever to me in the design process. I can then look at it, give him tips, suggest places to do things etc but I CANNOT do anything for him. I can't smudge it for him, do any filters etc.

Then, once I hve taught him as much as possible in the 2 weeks, we will post our completed sig to vs the other teams. How does this sound?

Thats why I put it in apostrophe's because that is what beginners are referred to for some reason, not necessarily what I would call them but it seems to be the common term ;)

In my opinion I think GMFreze is not very nooby at making signatures, but I guess that's just me.

Oh, yea. If I get picked, then could you please note the fact that I am poor and can not afford PS. If you want me to get it off a friend then I will, but it will take some time. Also, if you want me to 'crax' it then I tell you my download quota is capped.

I can do this. I think a few things; we get a list of noobs that wants to participate and then teachers draw a number to see who will pick first lol.

also we should put down "Jeffsigs PS" or "Noob Gimp" and try to keep the gimpers together and the PS's together, because that is a whole different challenge

jeff, as for your 'drawing numbers', how would this work online?

There are so many number randomizers online, too many I should say. Then just roll the numbers one at a time or have some random scripted randomizer on a site and steal it.

Its dependent on whether you will benefit from this challenge. I feel you have improved a lot -Zeo- and have shown commitment to improving, you will learn from this. Thats not to say Slither and Paybac haven't shown commitment, they are just a little more advanced and might not learn as much..

Unfortunately it has hit a dead end. Because it took so long to organise, many of the experienced members are fairly busy atm (like myself) and most of the 'noobs' that applied have improved out of sight. The graphics school will be starting shortly, so until then we'll just have to sit tightly. Sorry :(
