Not a competition as such but wasn't sure were else this should go, however it could turn into a competition if enough people were interested.

For this i'm looking for 3 more people.
The plan is to start with either a stock or a render and a 1024x768 canvas. If using a render the render needs to be set centrally. The canvas is divided into four pieces. and each person works on his or her section. then we put them all together when we are done and see what we come up with.

Anybody feel like giving this a go? I'm open to other ideas and suggestions on how this should work or if you have any renders or stocks you think we could give this a go with?

Anyone interested?

Does the person have to be on a team to participate? If not, I'm interested.

Kool so Noble, Pcktlnt and bull if your up for it

Heres one image, we'll choose an image like this, either a render or stock wateva. I cut it onto 4 pieces and we each do our thing to the piece we get. then send the pieces back to me and i'll stick em together and post it up to see what we get. You guys have any other ideas for a render or stock to do this with?

You can choose the stock/render since I'm not entirely sure what we are doing. Well, this is what I am thinking:

- A stock/render is provided.
- Said stock/render is divided into four equal parts
- Each part is assigned to a person.
- Artist is now applying their style on said piece.
- Pieces are reconnected back together.

Now that's the part that I need some clarification. Are we trying to put it back together and have our piece flow with adjacent person(s)? Or is it just put the piece together and see how the piece comes out?

Exactely like that Pcktlnt.

I was thinking about the whole flow thing, and i think for this one we wont bother, the only request being that the main image doesnt get distorted so at least the lines match up. SO basically just leave the joining edges alone. Other then that i think we'll make it free to do wateva else you want B&W, lighting, effects wateva. We'll have a look how it turns out?

Unless anyone else has a better idea?

That's fine with me. I'll let you assign the render/stock and the piece we are going to work on. :)

I would say try and find one that has something interesting for everyone to work on, the one above, seems like it would be kind of boring for the people who get the bottom half...just my thoughts, this is a cool idea and can't wait to see the outcome :)

I took Lokis idea and found sumthing equal (lol whats more equal then a circle) So i found a nice simple Earth Wallpaper: this should give plenty of room for creativity. The one request i have is that you do not put a border on the earths joining edges, feel free to put wat eva border you want on the other two edges. Feel free to do any style you want to you particular section just dont alter the size of the earth i need the sphere to line up:). Any other questions just ask. Post up your finnished section when you are done and i will stick em all back together.

Edit: oh and feel free to put any txt you like on your section.

It was a stock of the Earth, just a very plain image of the earth, the four quaters of the original image are in the #12 post, and yea sorry about the big images, it'll kill anyone loading this without broadband.
