Hey, ive been watching a few tutorials and im getting on with it and they say "cut out the bits you dont want" how do i do that? Ive tryed watching noobie's video and that dont work for me as i dont have the same GIMP as him and cant find it anywhere, anyway i always get stuck on that bit. I tryed another way by going on Invert but that gets rid of little bits everywhere. What i want to do is get a image onto a backgound that i have made but just the main part of the image. If there is somebody that could explain that would be ace.

Thanks Rich.

Hehe..

You can try using the fuzzy select tool but this wont work if you bg has a variety of colours and tones. If the bg is one plain colour then use the fuzzy select the select the bg > then grow the selection by a couple of pixels and press delete.

Alternatively, you could use a pre-rendered image from planetrenders.net/gamerenders.com

Or, you could render an image by yourself. The quickest and best way to do this is to zoom in really far and use a hard round brush to erase the bg.

Hope this helps
