Some of the people who register here probably don't know anything about the designing programs out there.And if they do know one,it's probably going to be Photo Shop and you have to pay money for that(right)?

Also some of the new people, probably don't know about gimp, and won't use it because they think you have to pay money for it like photoshop.
So my suggestion is you make a sticky that tells you all the designing programs out there,and which ones are free.

Yeah, that is a good idea. Try an get it stickied in the intro area.

Its a good simple idea but I would like to see all of these helper suggestions probably go into the tutorials and help section. However maybe we can put a simple sticky in the intro section which directs people to the tuts section and what they can expect to learn about there...

We have taken this on board... will let you know once we put it up.

I was wondering what programs are available out there beside photoshop one can use to do different graphic works with for creation purposes that dont take a masters degree to understand ?

try gimp.......... :) people say it's next best thing to photoshop..........
but i think it's better.........

it's a designing program that is very similar to photoshop.The good thing about it is,that's it's free.I suggest you use gimp first before you get photoshop :)
