Didn't see this one. I'll just say I use to like it, but now I hate it. Give me mature anime (not the hentai ones), eliminate kid protagonists, and get some good stories going on; and I'll enjoy anime once again.

Yeah I think anime is okay, the only one I've really watched is that one on anime central on sky. Ghost in a shell, that's pretty good.

Has anyone watched Elfen Lied? Holy crap... :shock: Ya...my friends are trying to get me back into anime. I should have been a little more specific on what I wanted to watch. Anyone know any mature (not hentai) type anime?

I guess anime like, something where the protagonist is not a screaming, clumsy, kid? i.e. Naruto, the kid from Full Metal Alchemist, etc. ^__^

Animes like:
- Rurori Kenshin (sp?) The OVA series
- Basilisk
- Ghost in the Shell
- Angel Heart (I don't remember if I got bored of this, just never finished).

How is reading the mangas for the animes? Especially the long ones. Are they more exciting? Do they add more backstory/subplot? Does the anime follow them? Never really read one because I can never find them at all.

I think you guys just have a limited perspective to what type of animes there are. Animes vary as greatly as 'normal' T.V. shows. I hate American Idol but I don't go around tell people I hate everything on television because of the one show. Before you make such a strong accusation as hating something you should probably look into it a little more. I'm almost certain that no matter what your tastes are, there is an anime for you. It is just a matter of finding it.

I think I am the same way with television shows...nothing appeals to me. That or I am just too picky to enjoy shows anymore.

I'm a CGI avid fan, like Final Fantasy. I think anime is a CGI too, but I prefer the 3D graphics.
