learned this while messing out
First select paintbrush(the thickness of the line depends on the size of the paintbrush)
put a single dot and press shift button and move the mouse so that a straight line is formed. Now press the mouse button (leave shift button now).
Your line is drawn..its really simple
if you select a gradient while doing this.. the line would have a nice fill :D
