Try saving it as a png. If that dosnt work, i dont know what the problem is.

you have to save the sig as either jpg or png but

if you would like to save the layers, you will also have to save it as psd

no image format will hold/save layer information, Only gif works with layers and photoshop does not support gif (as far as i know). Heres my suggestion, when your saving first save your file. That will save it in PSD (photoshop Default) format saving all the layer information. Then you can use the save as feature save it as a png (recommended for better quality).
Now if you go and re-open the PSD file u saved, u will have all the layers. If you are working with a PSD and for some reason cannot see the layers. Just click on Window on your menu bar then click on layers. and if for some reason everything seems out of place/not the way it was before then just do Window>Workspace>default and it will reset all windows to how they were when u 1st opend photoshop

And when i open the file again with photoshop .. how can i see the borders again .. cuz their not at the same place they used to be? I mean i can't switch from one to another anymore.

you may have maximized it or perhaps photoshop opened it maximized, just click the restore button and you will see all windows and you can switch between them. Sometimes you might need to work with your window maximized and if you wana switch, go to Window and at the bottom (after the seperator) is a list of all open windows in photoshop. You can switch back and forth that way as well.

hope this all helps you with the problems that you were having
