Maybe this way new members cant waste their posts in sensless posts. Also It could work if somebody created a spam tread so users can spam all they want there without bothering anyone.

the problem in question is the influx of new users who dont make any posts, just put links in their signatures

personally creating a spam thread where anyone could post whatever they wanted wouldnt work well. however we do have a forum where you can talk about whatever you want with the exception of advertising and stuff like that.
