Font Question

Hi

I'm trying to make userbars...but I can't get the font right. And, I stink at it in general

Anyway..the font. I thought it was supposed to be Visitor TT2. But when I use that it looks wretched. Suggestions?

I guess all I'm trying to figure out before I get in too deep is there is a font 'standard'. I know people use various fonts. But is there an overall accepted userbar standard?

If I make my own userbars, sometimes I'd like them to flow in an animated sequence with userbars I might request at some point.

Normally I don't worry and like to vary my fonts. But in this case I see how a standard is quite visually effective.

So, I downloaded Visitor. But it looks wonky to me. The parts of some letters that are separated like on the letter D, make it seem like they look crimped or folded when presented very small like they need to be for 19 X 350. Am I using the wrong download of Visitor?

Ok you say it looks wrong, make it smaller?.. make sure you have anti aliasing off .

Failing that try one of the other visitor fonts there is TT1 BRK, TT2 BRK and visitor -BRK-

I started doing userbars and im kind of old school always do and always will use VISITOR as userbars font!.

I'm not sure if it looks wrong. That's sort of why I'm posting. When looking at other people's userbars it doesn't seem like my type matches up. Also, I posted large so you could see detail. I'd obviously adjust my type size for the 19X350 mode.

I guess that's what I'm asking. Sine there's more then one, am I using the correct version of Visitor? Maybe I downloaded the wrong one. Does it look like the version I should be using?

I'll try the link gromit posted, and see if it improves with a newly installed version.

I have made alot of sigs and what I do is just scroll through them to see which font fits that particular sig.
