I dont drive yet, but i know a lot of people that do. In the uk weve had loads of fuel strikes because of the cost. Yet it still continues to rise at an alarming rate.
When i pass and get a car, itll not be a car i cant afford, itll be the bloody fuel!
It just seriously takes the p***.

If gas prices go up, so do the food prices.

food has gone up
I used to live on $40 dollars a day.
When i was alone for 6 weeks by myself i had to, i think for the first week i bought huge water bottles for like $4 each and then filled them with boiled water and put them in the fridge. $25 dollars for dinner. $3 dollars for desert.
$8 for lunch. I'd usually just have a meat pie or something similar for lunch.
Chinese take away for dinner. Sometimes it was pizza, sometimes maccas.

Gas prices is averaging about $4.50 in my area. Luckily I haven't needed to drive anywhere that's far. Once the gas prices hit $4.00, I started biking more (2 pedal not horsepower :().
I wouldn't be surprised if America hit $5.00 within the year. Gotta love Costco and Sam's Club for their quantity per dollar. ^__^

In Michigan, it's like 4.09 a gallon. My truck gets about 15 miles/gallon at best... so I'm looking to try to get a more economical vehicle, but at my current job, I can barely afford that gas as it is. Not to mention the fact that business owners are trying to compensate in "profits" lost by having a lower base pay (as low as minimum wage for work that deserves more) So as it continues in history, the rich get richer and the not rich get even more broke :(
