Some stuff that's helpful to you if you use GIMP.

First of you need to know what tool is what tool.
Read this website to know what tool does what.

http://www.designyourownweb.com/gimp/running-gimp.htm

go all the way down to page two to find out more.

Now once you have your basics down, you need a good site that shows you tutorials, for gimp.
Try this website it's the best gimp help website out there, with 100s of tutorials that show you everything from a basic signature,to doing animation with gimp :)
http://www.gimptalk.com/forum/

If your looking for a specific tutorial, just type it out in their Search Tab,and if they have it,it will show up.

Now you need a good website to get pictures from.Pictures that already have been cut out.Try this website

http://planetrenders.net/renders/thumbnails.php?album=topn&cat=-3

you have to register to use them.
don't know how to keep the transparent background in the pictures from planet renders?don't worry if you do this, you won't have a single thing to worry about.

You must firstly view the full-sized version of the render, to do this you click on the thumbnail and then click on the intermediate-sized preview image and the full-sized render should appear in a new window. Now you must right-click > save image as... to save that render onto your computer.

*note* you have to register to do that.

Now your looking for brushes?someone is power hungry
check this site out for brushes

http://search.deviantart.com/?section=browse&qh=boost%3Apopular+age_sigma%3A24h+age_scale%3A5&q=GIMP+brushes

just type in the brush your looking for,and if they have it,it will come.

*note* you have to put GIMP (name of brush) to get what your looking for.And you can only use it,if it says "In GIMP" below the picture.

I'll add how to download brushes soon.

Now you need some good fonts.Check this site out

http://www.dafont.com/themes.php

just click on the one you want, and do download. The "how to download fonts" guide is right here

http://www.signaturebar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8420

now still hungry for more?

http://www.gimptalk.com/forum/topic/Resources-Index-13013-1.html

just check their resources section out,and hopefully it'll fill you up

i will add more stuff as soon as i think of them :o
