GIMP: Border

I am using GIMP for the first time and I am following some tut's. But I can't find a tut that describes clearly enough how to add a border, I just downloaded GIMP so it's up to date etc.......

Sorry, I am just n0obing out. ;) haha

If you make a thread asking for help with a problem, but then hey presto you work it out!! If its not too much trouble how about posting how you fixed it?

Eg if you couldnt resize an image...
Then worked out how to do it, tell us how you figured it out!!!

If you had the problem im sure others would too!!!

I'm fairly sure this was posted as a result of the above. :D so I will say how I managed. ^^

I eventually, selected my background, and went Filter > Decor > Add Border...

It's unbelievably simple now... like I said, I must've totally n0ob'd out. :D
