I've been playin with GIMP for a while now and i still cant seem to understand how to make borders. So far, all ive been doing is just using a black brush and slowly going across the edges. So can someone give me a detailed tut/way of how to do borders?

its easy, toptoolbar-> filters-> decor-> add border-> customize size(and usually make it black) and then ur done

a way that i find easier is
>make new layer
>select all(if not already done)
>edit->stroke selection->stroke line->line width (i like going with between 7and 10)->solid color->stroke

the color is what you have in the foreground picker ^_^
