Gimp2

Hi all right probably an obvious question to those of you that are used to this site but to a newbie like me one I'm struggling to suss. I downloaded Gimp2 the other night and have tried following the tutorials however not sure if these were written about Gimp1 as nothing on my Gimp seems to match the tutorials. :?: Head full of broken toys trying to suss it out PLEASE PLEASE Help!!! :roll:

well, with respect to brushes, u'll have to download them separately....... check this site..........http://search.deviantart.com/?section=browse&qh=boost%3Apopular+age_sigma%3A24h+age_scale%3A5&q=gimp+brushes

u'll have to configure ur gimp to ur needs first........ for example, tools like colour balance, brightness will not be found in the main tools tab....... u'll have to put them there....... since gimp2 has been public for a long time now, i'mm all the tuts out there are for gimp2........

u'll have to spend some time to find out where the tools are located...... :)
