going to fail Comp Graphics class

gah! this damn assignment is getting on my freaking nerves. this might be simple for all of you, but it isn't working for me. we're supposed to make a sphere thing with a picture inside it using the warp tool and correct it using the elliptical tool, but it isn't working for me! each time i do it, the picture doesn't fit inside the elliptical selection. i'm trying to get help with it, but the teacher is busy doing other stuff on her computer.

i feel like killing this computer out of anger (i won't literally, i just feel like that).

i think i fixed it, but it won't save. each time i try saving, it says "Cannot save <name>.psd because of a program error". anyone know what's wrong with it?
