Google Rankings - SEO Work

Hi guys

Im sure you recall me mentioning that i was going to perform some Search Engine Optimisation work last month, well im pleased to say that I have ranked us number 1 for many good search terms on google. Try them out for yourself..

Google Rankings

1st For "Free Signatures"
1st For "Free Forum Signatures"
2nd For "Free Signature Requests"
9th For "Free Myspace Signatures"

Next Month

Im going to be working this month on getting us up higher on the following terms

"Free Animated Signatures"
"Animated Forum Signatures"
"Request Animated Signatures"

Yes i hope so :) AS long as you're on page 1 it makes a really big diffference ... We'll just have to see how popular those search terms are ...

i think v should also look into making e-mail sigs? i personally dont know if there is any difference.................. but just a thought............... :)

theyre all signatures at the end of the day and if someone just wants fancy text in their signature and no picture then thats fine :D
Whatever anyone wants, if we can do it then we will :D

Good job Trade. How do you do SEO anyways? I thought you had to pay to get to be one of the first results.

Its actually quite easy and no you dont have to pay anyone.. Its just a matter of carefully selecting terms you want to rank high for and playing around with the words on your website and the main title.

Once thats all done you start building loads of backlinks to your site with the same key words... Not sure if thats making any sense but thats the general gist of it...

I am by no means an expert and still learning but its nice to see the site reach #1 for a few terms :)

Our rankings seem to be getting better so a quick update is in order.

All of last months #1 rankings are still there and we have increased our position for the following terms:

Terms I worked on This Month

Request Animated Signatures - Up from 34th to 1st
Free Animated Signatures - Up from 28th to 2nd
Animated Forum Signatures - Up from 36th to 2nd


Terms I didnt work on but have improved

Free Myspace Signatures - Up from 9th to 5th
Myspace Signatures - Up from 9th to 6th

Its been some time since I have done any focussed SEO work, mainly because once the site started rolling it just kept rolling.. :)

Its kind of growing automaticlally now but hopefully as we add new features we will get more coverage on more graphics related terms.. Im glad you posted on this old thread as it contains some good material for signaturebar story part 2. Totally forgot about this thread so thanks.
