I just hope it isn't a soap opera for the first half, like the book was... but that wouldn't be so bad either.

the ending is going to rock and suck all at the same time

I just hope it doesn't come out like POA, I'll go mad.
They messed that film up, if they stay loyal to the book it will be amazing.

What are you talking about? Prisoner of Azkaban was the best Harry Potter movie. They used just about every single thing in the book to put in the movie. It had the most detail of all of the movies. It was the most alike book to movie.

LOL, got delayed until next summer.

Seriously, they should think about using a better director for Harry Potter movies once in a while. David Yates sucks, and the world have already acknowledged it through The Order of the Phoenix. And yet they chose to keep David Yates because they're just too lazy to look for another man.

IMHO Harry could've been better in the hands of people like Steven Spielberg or George Lucas.

And one more thing: IMO Prisoner of Azkaban is the funniest Harry Potter movie yet.

I have read every single one of the books and i can not wait untill the half blood prince comes out. I think it will be by far the best one yet, and possibly even better than the final movie that will come out in a few years.

harry potter rules, it's too bad they had to push the movie date back. both me and my wife were really disappointed. not so much that it got pushed back, just the reasoning behind it. "uh ya, we would have a better box office gross dollar amount because of the lack of other movies that will come out at that time".......retarded.

This thread might be old but I'm going to comment anyway.

They are also contemplating making the 7th movie into two parts coming out within a month or two of eachother
Actually what they are going to do is release them a year apart from each other. Think Matrix 2 & 3.

Something you guys need to keep in mind is that staying close to the book does not make a good movie. Making a "well made film" but straying from the book does not make for a good "Harry Potter movie" either.

I think the 5th was the best "Harry Potter movie" they have made so far. The wizards duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort was some of the best I've seen, and the fighting between the OoF and DE was truly awesome. I did feel like some of the movie was too much over the top

"*HEAVY BREATHING* Deliver some line *HEAVY BREATHING* deliver more of the same line *MORE HEAVY BREATHING* stare at each other"

but it was leaps and bounds better then the 4th movie.

The books are great, always will be. If you want the whole story, go read them. All in all I'm excited about the 6th and 7th movie coming out if nothing else then the scenes between Harry and Dumbledore in the 6th.

And to whoever said Spielburg and Lucas should get their hands on this project, WOW, I'm just getting flash backs from the new Indiana Jones movie and that was GOD AWFUL.

well i've read all the books and loved every single one of them. so far all the movies were great too except for Prisoner of Azkaban... they messed up the whole movie. i really hope they stick to the book with Half Blood Prince... although the 6th book doesn't have much action but the climax is just mind blowing. cant wait for the movie :D

Should be good but ive got to say tht i dont like the fact that they keep cutting bits form the books so that they can reduce the length of the films eg. in goblet of fire they removed the quidditch matches!!, id love it if they didnt cut out important bits jst so they could keep it to a specific time limit. i mean look at lord of the rings! if that was cut short it ouldnt have been anywhere near as good as it is

Loved reading all the books & loved the films..

Definately cant wait for the nxt movie to be out..

Although i do agree, i would prefer to watch a longer movie to see more parts from the books... Its sucks when you go to a movie thinking you will see certain parts of the book, only to come out dissapointed bcoz it wasnt showed.

My opinion would be..something..awkward lol.

first, the books are great..easy to understand, imaginative words, you can just picture the story itself in your mind..but when you read the book then watch the movie, somehow, you will get disappointed..and you WILL get disappointed. How? Some scenes that is supposed to be there in the first place are not there. Of course, most movies only last 1:30 long..so what they do is to somehow "squish" the story to a shorter one..it just sucks..

I feel like there are too many. But you cant just make part of a series... The only one i thought was reasonable so far was the third. I prefer making it a darker movie, instead of little magical children full of wonder. Maybe ive just out grown it.

I havn't seen the trailer but, i hope its darker. THe first and second were an abomenation (especialy the second, yuck) :x
