The Halo series is the game that sells the most consoles for Microsoft. Because of this they used all their resources into producing one hell of a game. Thousands of hours of testing was put into it so everything flowed perfectly and the storyline was superb. Halo 3 is the ideal game you think of you when you think FPS. Halo 3 > Call of Duty 4

Man Hands down COD4 Kicks Halo's Butt, easily. My 7 and 5 yr old sons beat halo 3 and they were truelly let down which is really sad for a kid to notice how bad a game is. Yes Halo 3's graphics are better or should I just leave it at improved. But the multi player does not compare to that of COD4's, I dont even play my Halo 3 anymore I need to sell it while it still fetches a good price. As for the Sales of halo, it obvious Halo has had a colt following since the first game and so it will sell mass, doesnt mean people who stood in line until mindnight weren't left disappointed after beating the game in only a day or two of game play and I didnt really like the multiplayer much.

I lost interest in Halo 3 after beating it after a very short time. Multiplayer on Halo3 isn't that great either. COD4 beats Halo3 with a great storyline, great gameplay, and an f'in awesome multiplayer mode. :D

HALO: great futuristic fps, love the multiplayer (the forge rules)

Call of Duty 4 is one of the best games that was ever released. Although Halo 3 was a sick game, it didnt live up to the hype, and frankly, the Call of Duty series has always been sick. COD4 all the wayy!!!

COD4 simply for the replay value. You'll keep going back to certain missions to replay what you missed or messed up on. Or see if you can dis-rupt the gamea bit by doing something ahead of when they tell you.

I love the silence missions where you need to think each shot or each move through.

Overall COD4 gets my vote.

COD4 definately. the multiplayer has me hooked. I love the rank and unlock system. It adds depth and strategy especialy the perks system. As far as single player i loved it also the battles were intense and the story is pretty good.
this isant to say that i didant like halo 3 but it just doesant match up in my opinion.

dude its really fun in Halo 3 to set gravity to 50%, speed to 300%, go on sandtrap, make it 1 hit kills, and make the only weapon available a magnum with unlimited ammo. it is awesome! u just go flying around and u have to time it just right to get the person. you gotta do it 2 player or more obviously. but seriously its so much fun.

I would like to saw that it depends what you play the game for.

I play on line vs people. i find it way better than just str8 up playing the games and beating them. I rarely even beat games now adays. I play the one player mode to learn the controls and moves and what not then I go right into Multi-player live sessions.

Sometimes COD4 is awesome and then smetimes Halo 3 is awesome to kick back and play. Different controls, different everything. But in the end I can say that I wold prefer COD4 because it takes a lot more skill.

a war simulator?? jumping while shooting is realistic??, standing up and shooting a 50. cal sniper is realistic? the game is no where near a war simulation. the 50 cal sniper cant even shoot down a chopper, which in real life if you hit it right, could take a chopper down in about 1 or 2 shots at the tail rotor. and there is no modern war that is fought with just infantry (refering more to online). but it atleast has stratagy, unlike halo where you just run around and shoot at the enemy, all you have to know how to do it aim good while running.
