Trade only had a backup from the 7th july, so thats why your posts have gone :(
But backups are taken daily now. :D

that is not true.... if you have a hosting provider, they MUST make backups each and every day... and that is legally speaking... in case you do something illegal, and they must keep those backups for 30 days.... so, oh well.... what happened happened, but you could have gotten it back...

Problem is I run my 2 dedicated servers and this site is on one of them so its up to me to setup the backups. I didnt have it setup before , but i have it setup now .. so its all good.

I use http://www.softlayer.com/

they dont offer backup for dedicated customers unless you ask them separately to setup an offsite solution. I have since asked that to be setup...

If you still think they might have my data then i would love to hear it lol ? As it would be cool to get it back

haha that was quick and yes thats exactly what i was told. And as they mentioned i.e. NAS I requested that offsite backup account and now my servers backup daily at 12pm.. So most i can lose now is 24hours..

i use 1&1 and REALLY like it! you should check them out, they are much cheaper!

They have some pretty decent prices but the thing im really concerned about is support. do you have a fully managed dedicated server with them as thats what i would be after.. My current managed support is amazing, If I email them any time of the day or night I get a response within 1-4 minutes and its a decent proper response not some poorly written nothing to do with response.. So will have to find out if there support is any good...

about me??? hmm.... well, as you can see i am the owner of www.thfs.org and www.techelpforums.com (same site though) and i really enjoy helping people with there computer, and stuff.... i also just recently got into photoshop.... what do i do? um, i go to school, i am the webmaster of my school's site.... www.thewillowwindbreeze.org and i am a Palm comunity forums (www.forums.palm.com) moderator... and participate in a bunch of other forums... um, yah! thats me (at least in the digital world) anything else you want to know?

hahahaha vundo???? no, know nothing about it.... JK, JK JK, i have only cleaned 96 machines that have vundo on them..... sure! send them to my website, and i would be happy to help them get rid of that little bugger :twisted:
