im trying to follow newbie's tut on signature from gimps, but i seem to be having trouble cropping out the background of the render onto the actual background of the sig. Ive done the path, clicked "path to selection", ctrl i, ctrl k, delete path, click on regular layer, clicked on background, right clicked, "add alpha channel", and "add alpha to selection".

I dunno what im doing wrong, but for some reason, i cant get the render's background away. please help me or give me some reason of what im doing wrong. Im using the latest gimp which is Gimp 2.0 (or was it 2.6?)

u can also just use the tool on the tool bar that looks like a lasso-> make the path with the lasso tool ->ctrl I ->press delete-> and press ctrl+shift+A to get rid of the selection lines

also if u make an account at www.planetrenders.net and check out there render gallery, they have tons of precut images
