Idea: Resource Section

just an idea or something i think would help out alot of the artists out there is if we created some sort of resource section of the forums for more than just tutorials but as well as stocks, C4Ds, Brushes, textures... etc. maybe alow people to post topics with links to great places to find stocks or brushes and stuff or have a way to upload them ourselves. idk i just think it would maybe help bring more interest to our community for people looking for resources for creating sigs.

I love that idea PatTheRat. So that other people on the site can post good renders and stuff like that, so it would be easier for a member/staff to find a good render/brushes/ect. for there signatures/avatars/userbars/ect. Love this idea. :)

I have a resources section down for the new site, but I was thinking more about having it on the main site, where users can upload and tag useful resources on the net.

this would be 100% user driven with moderation done by the staff... Would you prefer a sitewide thing or sections within the forums for this ?

I think sitewide would be better. It would pull the site together rather than it being two seperate sites....

well i would definately like to see something built into the forum for this. i would feel bad for stealing stocks and resources from other people and uploading them to the sight (due to possible copyright infringements and other things). however i feel that in a forum we could still link to different websites where these resources could be obtained. however i think that the resources built into the main site itself would help out alot and definately would be a major boost to the site but like i said i would be scared of ripping other peoples resources. but i would never consider linking to be a harmfull thing to do. but i think having its own forum subject would be needed to do it right, as there really isnt much of a great place to put all these links in the forum we have set up at the moment. anyways just my two cents on this.

For the moment, we have the thread loki posted.
However, with the new site, i would like a set of forums for PSD's, Tutorials, renders etc within SigBar.

And as for the update of the site as a whole, it is coming soon, and I really mean it. I can't say much more, but it is coming. Like, deffo. ^^
