Hey i just downloaded gimp 2.2 or something and i don't understand these tutorials at all. They don't explain what to do that good and i still don't know what some of the tools do. So anyway can someone put up any tutorials that go step by step and they have little pictures showing (if possible).

Try that :D I made it as detailed as i could for beginers
Also, when asked to use the gradient tool for example, hover your mouse over the different tools and you will see what theyre all called, if you need any more help, then just let me know. Ill soon be posting another signature tutorial, but it might be another few more days yet, ill see what i can do, but yeah anyways, just give us a shout in pm or on here if you need any help :D

Yeah noobie's the one to ask if you have questions!! I grabbed some more links for you to check out.

This was a search of Deviant Art (http://search.deviantart.com/?section=browse&qh=boost%3Apopular+age_sigma%3A24h+age_scale%3A5&q=gimp+tutorial)

This is good-tutorials.com (http://www.good-tutorials.com), a lot of it is for photoshop (which both of us don't have) but when I use them it gives me a basic idea on what to do in paint shop pro, and I know it could work for you too. You just need to know the basics of gimp and then PS tuts will be a snap to understand.

This is from the gimp site (http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/). There are a lot of tuts for beginners and it explains everything thoroughly. Using these will most likely get anyone a basic knowledge of the gimp.

This site has a few really good quality tuts as well (http://empyrean.lib.ndsu.nodak.edu/~nem/gimp/tuts/).

Hope I could help out ^^
