currently i dont practice any form of fighting but am thinking about taking some judo classes or something similar. Working on trying to become a police officer and some classes for self defense seem quite appropriate. muy thai is a crazy fighting style. i recently saw a show on Discovery called fight science that showed a muy thai fighter kneeing a crash test dummy in the chest with enough force to equal that of a 35mph car accident. the dummy's chest collapsed i think 2.5 inches (sorry, american huh?) due to the force of the inmpact. the move was executed with a straight knee from a standing position, no running, just pure acceleration and force of an upward knee strike!

I've broken many things in my body but with fighting in tha ring I only broke my nose once and broke 1 rib and bruised 2 of them.
I guess you ain't guarding your body enough if ya're breaking that many ribs...

whoa, for someone who practices any form of martial arts you sound like quite the hot head... a bit hostile too! i love the u.s.a., espescially the great state of Arizona. the only martial arts form i currently practice is titled "he who carries concealed .45acp wins"... state liscense to carry a concealed pistol, which my choice is a Kimber Eclipse Ultra 2, chambered in good ole american fashioned 45 acp filled with Speer Gold Dot Hollowpoints. A winner in any fight ;) 2 magazines each consisting of 7 rounds each with one in the pipe = 15 bullets of 1 shot stops 1 person and leaves big hole in said person, magazines are teflon coated for easy loading and unloading of the mags from the mag well, tritium easy aquire night sights, custom spurred hammer and 2lb trigger job kept ****ed and locked and ready to go in a concealed carry easy slide bladetech small of back holster!

haha, not sure you want advice from me except to never unload a gun the wrong way and try to stick to guns that arent plastic, they are really slippery when you are sweating which can cause you to slip, not to mention all the different oils and lube spots they have on em...
for proof of advice (advice learned the hard way by me see below links for pics)
Warning, pics are a bit graphic, not for those squeamish about blood...

dude those rly arent graphic i snapped my foot in half... literaly but i didnt exactly wanna take pictures im not sayin nuthin mean bout u or nuthin for takin those pics but dang how did that happen? graze or what?
ballisticn8
03-14-2008, 11:07 PM
not a graze, lol, punched through my wrist and out the side of my arm. you dont see the chunk missing in my arm? like i said, plastic guns with oil = really slippery...
springfield xd40 cal, sub compact. brand new, trying to break slide back to eject cartridge that was in chamber. oils and plastic and sweat caused my hand to rotate around the frame as i tried forcing the slide back, this caused the angle of the gun to come up as my hand slid around its frame. since hand was rotating across frame finger slipped off the slide mount area of the frame and through the trigger guard which then started a chain reaction of the hammer falling forward, striking the primer, causing an explosion which ignited the gunpowder which with the expansion forced a hydroshock hollowpoint to exit the barrel into my hand...
the plus side, morphine, percocet, and lots of vicodin... the bad side, my mother in law had just left the room...
jk, although i sometimes dont like her i would never intentionally try to shoot my mother in law, lol...

Bigbro272 - I just wanted to say that I dont think Dantekain was talking crap to you or about you and you should not take it that way. At first he was responded to the Spaming person Miel saying "is the sport hard" (everyone In the Whole World knows it Hard lol) that was all then you took it wrong and with guarding your ribs comment maybe he is right or does everyone in Kickboxing break there ribs all the time. So you are coming off very hot headed which goes against martial arts which teaches Discpline. But that was my Two cents.
Its cool that you like to Kickbox man that would be fun although Now after breaking both of my arms in a dirtbike accident I no longer like pain LOL
ballisticn8 - I love your post man about your form of martial arts OMG I was rolling on the floor laughing I had to read it to my wife it was so good and TRUE lol. I live in Washington and I love my guns lol Better than Califiornia with all of there limitations. Crazy about your accident man, lucky it wasn't worse. We had a Correction Officer that was hosltering his service gun and it went off and shot through his leg and out and he Bled out in seconds and died so yeah you are lucky man.
I understand though you really need a gun that fits you the best, my father in law has little little 9mm that when I shot it it whats to pop out of my big hands I hate, but its a great gun for concealment. I used to have a ruger Kp97 or 98 45acp and it was PERFECT.

Pain SUCKS lol I dont even care to play airsoft becuase of the Pain I endured from Crashing head on with my friend. I was coming down a Hill and he was going up and crested the hilltop when I started to come down and we crashed hard. I was fllown to the hospital and stayed in there for 2 weeks and then got out and ended back in for another week with a blood clot in my right leg that almost killed me lol so yeah I hate pain the Blood clot hurt the worse I dont recommend them LOL, It feels like there is all this pressure in your leg and it is going to blow up any second AHHHHHHH the pain. LOL You can see pictures on this post lol http://www.signaturebar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8158

@Bigbro272
Dude, chill...like jeff said...try to understand tha things you read...
If someone tells ya that when ya break ya rib in a fight there are things to take in consideration :
1 -> your opponent was better and stronger
or
2 -> you let your guard down or didn't guard yourself good enough.
And when you're highly trained, like you say you are, you would have shown some more restraind on your comments...(tha whole inner peace thing )
About tha belt thing....most schools don't use a belt ranking when it comes to kick/thaiboxing...there are some schools that do but in general they don't.
That's why I commented on tha belt post.
Just statin' facts here and if ya don't agree with them...so be it...
To bad we ain't living close to one other, or we could go a few rounds sparring.
You're thaiboxing against my jeet kune do mixed with aikido and some thaiboxing...Would have loved that.

well anyway im cool w/u and all but lets go over some things
1) My oppenent lost to me...he broke two extra ribs so he wasnt any better
2) well i may not hav been gaurdin myself which probly is tru but heck i won so idc
3) and besides restraint? who shows that anymore...jk i am showin restraint if you herd me takin u wouldnt be thinkin i was mad
4) the belt thing is an aside... if you go through that they teach you general grappling and if you get to blk belt status u get free mma training so yeah there are some perks
5) i dont thai box i kickbox there is a dif but i hav alson done judo, kempo, muy thai, international, and general mma style fighting
6) i would love 10 straight rounds just like my blk belt test just some fun who can last you know? anyway lets go dude i love a good 30 minutes of fun friendly fighting
ps incase u didnt notice i dont fight for pride or anything i fight for fun

I'm glad to hear that ya won after breaking some ribs...that shows persistance, motivation and a great state of mind. Because you accepted tha pain and won tha fight.
Pride is a sinfull thing...I fight to keep my mind and body in shape and if needs be for honor.
If ya ever in tha Netherlands, give me a shout here...I'll pick ya up and we'll have a blast...training, sparring and painting tha town red...
