Lighting Effects with GIMP

Does anyone have a link to a good tut that help me with lighting effects in GIMP?

yeah,perhaps some lightening in the signature?is that what you mean?

Yeah, just basic things with lighting that every sig maker should know.

oke well 2 things
1 look at the shading/reflection of the render/focal to determine where to put lightning
2. u can add lightning in 2 ways
using the lighting effects filter
or manually
most ppl (including myself) do it manually
to add manually take out a large soft brush, set ur foreground color to white, and create a new layer, then click once or twice in the area u want to put the light, reduce opacity if its too bright
u can do more stuff with it later, but for basic lighting thats it
