hmm..okay, so I was just wondering. I mean, I'm pretty sure this is not likely to be able to be done, but it'd be amazing if you could actually do this;

to have each bar, in the animation, be clickable to a different page. So, instead of linking the bar itself to a page, somewhere you'd be able to make each slide of the bar link somewhere else. LIke a scrolling marquee, when your mouse'd pass over it, it would simply be able to change the designated linking page.

This'd be useful if you didn't have a lot of room for characters in your sig, and you had a bunch of pages that you wanted to link to. That way, instead of, first of all, having to make each individual banner by itself link to a different page, you could have each slide do it. Also, it'd really save space for otehr lettering. If it's possible, of course.

Just thinking of some ideas that pop into my mind. I don't know exactly how it would be linked, but someone may know.

XD Sorry, it sounded confusing to me, too, after I'd read it over. Like, let me /try/ to explain.

So, pretend we had an animated userbar, that had three slides, slides A, B, and C. I wanted each slide to link to different page, if we clicked on it. And I don't want it to be the same thing as having three totally separate bars that aren't animated, all linking to their own page. So, like, each time the bar shifts to the next 'slide', say B, if you were to click on it, you'd go to a different page than slide A and C.

ah, show when you click on it, it goes to a site dependent on which userbar image is being shown?

im not sure if thats possible...
:o

^^ you got it! Yeah, I wasn't sure if it was going to be possible. Like, I'm sure you wouldn't be able to get it through the actual /program/ that you made the userbar on, you'd have to get it to link using a code, like Javascript or something. But, if the code was to be hosted elsewhere, you could just have the effect of it in a link that you use on the userbar, and then it would automatically do it for you.....

...I don't know. Oh well. I guess either I could go with linking multiple bars individually, or have one animated bar lead to a page with links to the different pages that I'd wanted.

I think this's a great idea, if anyone can figure out how to do it.....

Right now a userbar is simply an animated gif file. There is no way I know of putting hyper links into each frame of the animated gif. By wrapping the gif in a hyperlink you get the ability to click on the image to go somewhere, but that can only be one place. So the answer is not possible.

The only way I can think it might be done is if you created the animated bar using flash. Im no flash expert but im pretty sure you can give each frame a separate link allowing you to do what you say demyx.

Only problem is , it sounds like too much and abit over kill for what its worth... :)

:/ yeah, I had suspected it would be hard. Either make it in flash, or maybe host some really hard and complex JavaScript code to get it to click. But that's be a pain, too. 8D
