I was having a look at some of the requests and it was unbelieveble how dated some of them were :? Not because we are incapable of keeping up with them but because we someone has posted a reply and the original requester has not replied. Would it not be a good idea if requests automatically dissapeared after a certain amount of time? Also, is it not possible to order the requests by the date they were made? - Not when the last post was created...

Hope this makes sense :P

humm are you talking about deadlines & such ? if yes i might go for that .
but when a person gets his 10posts & then posts there he expects something if you just make it vanish with out an explination the poster might feel really bad you know . but some pepole should post on the post as a notification that some one has read the post & might/might not get on it ASAP .

i really dont know if this is making any sense at all ...

lol

thanks ,

thanks for the heads up adam, I like the idea of ordering the request by date made

we do have a five day rule in place, if the requester hasn't come back within five days of the last post we will either move it to completed or delete the thread, depending on the situation :)

Can you prune topics in php?? If you can just set all topics that havnt had a post in 5 days in the request areas to be pruned ie deleted automatically.

not sure if you can, but that wouldn't work all the time, as somtimes a request does get completed, but the requester hasn't responded, so we just move it to complete
