how to make simple but nice bakground

can someone tell my how to make simple background for sig..?
by the way...i`m using gimp.
and is there is any simple way to put video in a sig..?

to put video in a sig you need to convert it to a gif, I believe gimp has a feature for this....

try some of our gimp tuts :)
