May 2009 - Graphics Request Team

Hi guys,

Those of you who have followed and tracked my recent announcements will know that I'm looking to setup a request team. We already know who the major request fillers are, the forums show testament to that, however I still want to put out an official job posting for the team.

So those of you who're interested in becoming a part of the Request team, let me quickly highlight what I'm looking for and what tasks you would be invovled in.

The Job

1.) You need to be active and able to check the requests section daily.
2.) You need to be able to work on graphics that you may not enjoy (hence only apply if you have enough experience skills with sig making)
3.) You will be responsible for monitoring threads, marking them as complete and moving them to the completed sub-forums as per the rules.

The Perks

There are no perks to this role other than you'll gain the respect of your peers (especially me). Occaissionally you'll receive thanks from the requestee and you'll have to be good at taking CnC. So please only apply if you love sig making.

Other than that, the following minor perks will be offered.

1.) Free custom titles and the ability to change them whenever you want
2.) You're username will be purple (I guess that's better than the standard black)

How To Apply

To keep the process transparent please post your application to this thread, I will review and select a team based on your posts and my review of your work by 10th May 2009. So get your applications in before that.

I can put myself forward for most userbar requests if that is ok?
I can definitely do the userbar requests, and additionally do some sigs here and there.
I would mainly focus on the userbars, however if I have time or others are busy I could do some sig requests too. I think I will be beneficial to the team as I previously was on another forum and part of a request team of 3 people, the thread was stickied and reached over 100 pages.

I will not take it personally if not accepted, I understand if others are more experienced or have more time than me. So if you don't want to accept me I will not mine, just thought I'd offer my services for now whilst we build up this forum. :)

Uhm, I think I've got most of that down..
I love to make sigs, And I can take the heat.
I try and fulfill most of the sig request and most of the people I have made for love what I make. I've done a lot of requests and I'm familiar with the request system.
I've got loads of experience with moderating forums, I've been a mod. on many and I know how to act. I respect everyone even if they don't wanna respect me, I'd like to keep the slogan of Sigbar correct "The Friendliest Graphics Forum on The Net"
I'm on Daily and able to check requests everyday as I already do.
Even though I havn't been here long, I think I know all the rules and I won't let you down!

"Making sigs is not just a hobbie to me but a past time , Ever since I joined this site I only wanted a free sig but now i see that it is worth more to make sigs then it is to request them.I feel very happy knowing that I fulfilled a request and made someone very happy but when i'm not able to fulfill a request since I didn't the standards it makes me sad and I just wish that the person who requested their sig/gfx/artwork get something that is worth coming to this site for and hopefully they will be able to see that this is a good site with very nice people.I have been using gimp since I have joined signaturebar.com , I have always been asked why I don't switch to photoshop but to me its not about the program but how you use it.I'm a very experienced at making gfx but I think that I have a lot more to learn, I'm on the site at least 5 hours a day which is enough for me to check through the "requested signatures" thread also i'm able to see most of the signatures post by some very inspiring artists.Those artists are what inspire me to make sigs .From day one I have learned that you should never take cnc in the wrong way ,that the people who are giving the cnc are not being mean but are just stating your flaws so that you may work on them.I'm very familiar with this site and rules so thats why I think I would be good for this job"

I would like to do this if you need additional people. I haven't been on the forum in a while but that is because I head up a GFX team for a very large clan of +350 people.
I do quality work and am a moderator on multiple forums.
I work on sigs daily and have a good eye for the basics and details.
I very rarely do things for myself... just about all 43 pages of photobucket work is requests.
The thing I am not good at is animation.

So yea let me know. Moving forward I will be on the forum every day.

i think that this is a very good idea and i would love to help out ^_^

Application:
-I am on very often, i check the forums at least three times a day. there will be times however (specifically weekends) that i can not be on dew to BBQ competitions this summer.
-I love making sig's. in fact that is why i came here, i wonted to get better by making them for requesters.
-I am a friendly person and can communicate well with others.
-I have worked in the request section a lot and can take whatever they throw at me and still be polite.

i understand if the whole weekends not being here will affect my application and even if i dont make the team because of it would be willing to help them out if needed ^_^

i am a mod on 1 other forum so i know my way around

i am probably older than most people on here and i think i can bring my maturity with me.

If you are interested, id be more then happy to share some more about myself as a person. I can do animation as well. I am available at all times night and day. This is as much a passion for me as it is to all of you and I look forward to sharing the experience :)

I also neglected to include a proper application.

This forum is the forum where I first learned how to make signatures and get involved with photoshop. It would feel really good to contribute back to the community by joining this graphics team. I am very active and will be able to check up on the forum almost everyday. I'm still a novice when it comes to signature making, but I feel that I can handle whatever situation thrown at me and complete my assignment.

Currently I am a moderator on another graphics forum so I understand how to use the forums and deal with rule breakers.

I think you know me well enough but here are a few things pointed out :

I'm a sticky when it comes to signaturebar , I've been away but that had to do with personal stuff
I was co owner of a pretty big and well visit graphics site
I was moderator/admin on several others
I was very active here / now returning better and more dedicated :)

My main goal is to help this site, to make it better and much more active .

As it come to photoshop and signatures its a passion that won't be leaving me , its just a part of my life

Sorry for the delay guys, I really wanted to take you all on but of course I do have a set limit on the size of the team. Other factors like activity, and previous contributions to the site were all taken into consideration and in the end I have selected 6 members for the request team.

You will notice that there is also a Request Team lead. This person in addition to taking requests also keeps an eye out on the general levels of requests coming in, how the team is doing and if more members are needed or if someone isn't pulling there weight.

They will work directly with me if there are problems of that sort and make sure the requests are turning over nicely. It's a mostly silent role but nevertheless a lead of some sort needs to be in place.

I vote yes. With that in mind, if a person is contributing everyday and making sigs for people, im sure they would eventually join the team regardless. There would be no reason not too :P

that team just can moderate that section and take care if nobody else fulfill requests then they do it...

That's correct, anyone can still help out with requests, the request team don't hold exclusive rights to that forum, there just the main team who are responsible for it, and have to do all requests if no one else does it.

As .Life has said, if you fulfill requests regularly and are an assett to that section then no doubt when we open up for new members you will be high up on the priority list.

Hey trade, i would like a very minor position in this team.
I would like to be the one who moves the threads and makes sure ppl keep to teh rules.
I can hitch in every weekend and make a request or 2 but thats about it.

-When it comes to gfx i have quite the experiance
-When it comes to requests i havent done too many at all since ive been here but i do regurly check them to see if theres an interesting one or if you guys need some help.
-When i make a sig its a quality sig most of the time
-I am ranked Solid Moderate-Low Intermediate
-Am capable of a variety of styles and take cnc well.
-I can also dish out good cnc.

The reason i am applying for a small job is bc i dont wnat to get in over my head.
I allready work on another gfx site as a competitions and duels moderator
My task on that site is to post SoTw, LpOtW. Edit and move threads in the duels section. Help vote in the duels area, give cnc and make sure ppl abide by all rules at all times.
At the moment somone else is going to take over posting sote just to get it started and organised better but i am still responcible for editing the threads.

I hope you consider my application seriously.

I am not the best at doing sigs etc but I don't mind doing them as it give me something to do and I can be on when ever even all day and night if you wanted (Even tho I am most of the time any way)
