SWAT, since I clicked the link in your signature I have increased the security of my computer, my anti virus systems had told me that my critical information could be read by a third party at the site you link around.

I didn't know if the website was a serious threat or a joke but I took all proportion to prepare myself for any type of internet based attack. I have I.P. tracker and comparison, NOD anti virus system and Search And Destroy computer safety system.

A few moments ago, I came to check my computer and I had multiple pop-ups warning me of a remote threat to my security. I have run NOD to find the origin and I will be running IPwizzard shortly to find the matching IP, I will warn you now, if it has any connection to that site I will be taking the necessary measures to ensure it gets taken down.

Even if the IP who threatened me hasn't been active lately or isn't known by the community IPwiz will know if s/he has EVER been on that site. If these results come back positive then I'm not going to be happy.

Posting/distributing/spying on other peoples vital information is against the law. If there's illegal activity at that site that is compromising my safety I will be forced to take action. I'm sorry if I sound accusing as you might not have anything to do with it, the tests are not finished, but considering you sent me to a high risk site that told me my IP had been saved to a 'hack' list, you are prime suspect.

WARNING: TO ALL MEMBERS OF SIGNATUREBAR.COM

I highly advice that you do not under any circumstances go to the link in SWAT's signature. If my suspicions are true then the origin of a total of 12 Trojan horse and spam bomb viruses are coming from this site. Any one that has proceeded to the site but does not have a great anti-virus system I would strongly recommend reformatting to a few days ago and de-fragmenting your hard drive.

To Sigbar staff. I would like that this link be removed as I honestly do believe that it is in some way affecting my computer. The safety of all members here could be compromised.

I will remove the link untill we can get to the bottom of this.
Im no expert on all this, but at the end of the day, wether threatening or not, it is upsetting to think this may be the case.
So for now it will be removed and ill inform trade to have a look into all this as he is more of an expert than i am.

Also, i clicked on it about a week or two ago, and i didnt get any kind of threat and my comp is scanned every single day.
I very much doubt it will be the link that was in his sig.
Those threats could have been from any website.
I asked swat about the message....we have your ip address.....a while ago, and he asured me it was his little joke and he changed it, which he did as i checked back.
Lets not be so harsh untill we have proof, but anyways, the link is now removed and there shouldnt be any more problems.

Yeah I totally understand, but when I click on a link and it tells me it's gunn hack me then I get hacker warnings of course I'm gunna be sus of the guys that were telling me they're gunna hack me...

How many times can I say hack in this post?

Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack Hack. :P

EDIT: Search and Destroy has just shown me multiple intrusions from a remote website... :( As of yet, because Search and Destroy is quite literally the thug of anti virus systems I don't know which website, that's what IPwiz is for... He's the library nut of the AV world. :P

i certainly understand where youre coming from clown, i really do

Wether or not it is the link, at the end of the day, its not good for members of this site to be wary about clicking on links, so it has been removed and will not return, if its affecting to any member in any way shape or form :)

by going to a website you won' t get any viruses or other related stuff if you have sufficient protection .
The true problem is that people dont know what they are doing on the net , I worked for a internet provider in the past and I assure you that if there would be any self registering stuff on it , The site would be down in 10 minutes.
Each day every computer gets like 100 port scans etc . Just watch your internet trafic and see where it goes , most of the time its microsoft calling home :)

I should probably scan more often... Remote websites were TRYING to get in but they didn't, the IP range is pretty offset to SWAT's link so that was just a coincidence, sorry SWAT

But as I was doing my scans, I went to immunize and had 48,000 things literally that it wanted to block...
