Was it necessary for a Philadelphia police officer to shoot a 17 year old kid with a taser that ran out onto the field during the 8th inning of a phillies game?

I think that you just tackle the turd... no need for the taser... its just a case of the cop being lazy... or he had never shot anyone with his taser so he wanted to get some live target practice :D

I made this presentation of the conversation between the cop and the kid:

I was laughing when i heard about this. Not because of the situation itself, but how the situation formed.

This idiot calls his dad asking for permission to run onto the field(his 17).
I commend such dedication to parents, but what the heck?

I also heard...he ****ed his pants after jumping the fence.Yeah, the blackish stuff on his pant, it is not a shadow but water.

Also, according to kids who go to the same high school as him,his name is Steve, he loves attention. So I don't care if he got tased...he shouldn't cry foul when he was the one who ignited this whole thing.

In philly, people are more prone to jump the gun a lot more than anyone else. It's a crazy city filled with edgy people who think everyone is out to get them.

The question you should be asking is Do you think he will do it again? After being tazed this time... I think not, so yes it was and will be effective!!!

Look at it this way, if the cop tackles him and the boy breaks his arm from falling wrong is it the cops fault?? No he is just doing his job upholding the LAWS/RULES people are to abide by, sorry if a stupid kid can't follow the rules.

In the 80s-90s you could storm the field and get tackled but now they dont have to do that since they have tazer technology.

I'm all for it. Once you jump the barricade you're fair game.

Its a tough job at the best of times, but when you are on TV you are a role model. Was he making an example of the kid to deter others?

Must have hurt though...
