Need a GIMP smudging tut

I need a tut that will make me learn how to smudge, like how to smudge my prince of persia sig. I want to smudge the 2 faces in the bg instead of blur. I am using GIMP

Thanks but i used a different one, that one is a bit too simple. Anyone got any more tuts for GIMP or can some one tell me the best way to smudge
