Need some photoshop help plz

Hey, its me again. Just wondering how to insert text into a photoshop pic. I tried to do that buy selecting the text button and then sellecting the surface i want to write on. Then when i want to write it doesnt show. I type and i se it is moving, but its like im typing spaces. Help please

this should really go in the support section but...

make sure you havnt got your opacity lowered down,

make sure the colour you are typing with isnt the same as teh background, if teh background is textured ignor this statement.

if neither of these apply then im not sure whats wrong, try adjusting the different layer settings, that sorted out a big problem with my text a while back.

yeah, as said by extraho

also, check your layers. you dont want to be typing in layers which are overlapped by previous ones. check your opacity etc and the colour of your text
