Need a tut or advice for text

but evry time i add text its isnt nice any more so i need some advice for text

Try basic fonts, white or black to begin with. Or follow some GIMP tutorials in this section to see what fonts the authors have used, soon you'll get a feel for it.

Make you text, then duplicate it then guassian blur (3-5) the duplicate text, then hide the duplicate text, duplicate your sig and hide the original and the put the duplicate layer over the text and set to Multiply or Screen. Then colour the blur text to black or white and unhide everything and done a kinda blending text.
