They are really nice!
Not sure whether this "popout" effect truly signifies a userbar but its definitley a unique approach to making them! You've got the correct text setup and the scanlines and gloss on most of them look good.
I'd reduce the opacity of the WoW scanlines and put some gloss on it imo.

Yes they look nice I like the pop out effect but it will look wierd when or if you stack them.

I think the point of a userbar is to stay compact and the pop out effect kind of defeats that.

I agree with you moose, its a unique effect but if someone requests a userbar I don't think they'll want/expect this style of userbar..

you can get the Visitor font from here http://www.dafont.com/visitor.font

to install it , go to Control panel > Fonts , File > Install new font...

but you should do that before opening the application you want to use the font with, so you don't have to restart the application.

After you write your name, in the layers viewerclick on "Creat a duplicate ......." (while selecting the layer of you text) , then "alpha to selection"

then go to Select tab > Grow > make it 1 (default) > ok

zoom in and color it with the Bucket fill
