No animation

SOTW,BSOTW, both of these are competitions about art right?so my suggestion is what if there is a rule saying "no" to animation in these two competitions?
Because i know for a sure fact,that i only won my first sotw because of the halo clip animation.And a clip is not signature art is it?....

But this is probably not necessary right now because hardly many people do animation in both the competitions.
If that being true i think this was a waste of a suggestion lol

well, how about instead of absolutely no animation in SOTW, how about every other SOTW there is no animation. or possibly whoever is hosting it can choose.

Animation is not used by many people in this forum. By animation I mean the stuff I create from scratch NOT video clips incorporated into background graphics. The exception would be the bit3 sig I did for a sig request:

There is a skill in creating animations like this, that I would like to share.

I know my style is very different from the norm on this site but I was kind of hoping animation might catch on a bit when people get the chance to see animation specifically created for sigs.

I was going to post a tut for adding flaming text to a sig like this:

but it does not include PS or Gimp. Where would I post it? and would anyone even look at it because it does not include PS or Gimp?

Please dont ban animation from sig competitions I might want to enter a sig contest one day

I would prefer if there was no animation in SOTW competitions, because not everyone can do animations, but anyone who enters the SOTW can make signatures obviously, so I agree with the suggestion. It seems unfair to people who can't do animations that animations can be allowed in SOTW. Maybe there should be a separate competition for animation sigs.

That being the case then maybe the suggestion should be having two classes, one with animation and one without.

Meaning there could be a specific animation comp ... I dunno just my thought on it .
