The abortion thread just reminding me of something that really annoys the crap out of me.

I hate it when people, and groups of people try and force their views and belief onto people.

The main 2 things i see, is religious people, and stuff to do with tv shows.

Always see complaints and things in magazines where people write in saying how bad a show is and it shouldnt be shown because its bad for kids and society bla bla bla Well i say if YOU dont like it, turn the f***ing tv off and dont let YOUR kids watch it. Let everyone else make up their OWN mind!!!

Happens all the time, and its annoys me!

Then with religious people, trying to force their beliefs onto everyone. 1 example when Heath Ledger died there was a group of religious people in america that were going to disrupt his funeral and made a big deal about how hes a sinner and going to hell because he ACTED as a gay person in a movie. Hes not actually gay, he just did it in a movie. So they believe it was right to disrupt his funeral and his family over that. There is a whole lot more of this sort of thing that bugs me but im too tired and asore to keep going so i will talk to you all later :D

The cult that did that to heath ledger got bashed.

And yeah, i hate the stuff your talking about like tv shows and that, like mum's that think they control the world and think they have a say in everything and think theyre opinions matter to everyone.

A mate of mine was at a garage with me and some other mates and we were doing some graffiti just practising and **** and his mum came in and took him away and there was a big scene and **** but we usually give people crap for that
but it was just so slack so we didn't.

Hey I agree with you Diesel Except on the Part about "Religious" people which is LABELING them all together as One entity, which we are not (me being a Christian) There are f'ed up religions out there, there are people that proclaim to be Muslim and kill in the name of it and there are people who say they are Christians and they bash everyone for thier Sins which does God tell us to do these things? No

Personally I am not like that, I am a Christian, I dont push my beliefs on people, and I dont condemn people for what they do, I know I am not the Judge, so there is no need to. Alot of times the people that are doing the things like you said above are either a CULT or are just really EXTREMIST. But as a Christian I am taught to have love, grace, compassion, mercy, and those people who did that don't

Just my thoughts.

a dude at a fair once asked me if I had time to take a survey, lol, I was un-aware that it was a religious survey

anyway, after taking this "survey" I was told that I would not get into heaven unless I believed the that jesus was the son of god and that he died for my sins.

Well I asked him about jews (who don't believe jesus to be the son of god) and he flat out told me that they are going to hell.

then, I asked him if hitler believed that jesus was the son of god, would he have gone to heaven? The guy said yes!

then I said judge not least ye be judged and walked away

yeah jeffsigs i should have been a bit more specific. i dont mean every single religious person. There are just ALOT out there like that.

1 more exmaple.

couple years ago i had a girlfriend, sort of. We were best freinds for like 2 years and it finally came out that we both liked each other more. But her parents were quite religious and wouldnt allow her to have a bf at that age, 15-16. So we decided we would go out but not tell anyone!

Little while later she invites me over to tell me that she spoke to her parents and they said im a nice guy and they give thier 'blessing' for us to go out etc but then she told me she then had a bit of time to think and decided that she needed someone chrisitian and someone who god is more apart of their life. but the thing that confused me is, at that time i believed myself to be christian... i believe in god, i went to church a few times, i prayed and tried hard not to sin (mostly swearing really). So i thought it was weird that she cuold judge me to not be christian... wouldnt it be god the 1 that could decide that?

anyway im off again, going on holiday to broome in north WA AUstralia, and wont be back till saturday night. so cyaz l8az :D

Well hey come on now, I don't think this is funny because that is one of the basic belief that all Christians basically have.

I've said this before but I'll say it again.

Nobody has the right to force anything on anyone else. This INCLUDES those who fight back to the others who are trying to tell them or show them something they might not like. ("YOU STOP TRYING TO SHOVE YOUR RELIGION DOWN MY THROAT!!!!!!!!!111!!2432one!!eleven") Because that is basically the same thing as "BELIEVE THIS OR YOU ARE GOING TO HELL!!!!11!!one!!7546eleven!!one".

I do not like it when people judge other people because of the simple fact that no matter what you believe, nobody knows for sure about what our after life will be; and if you do believe there is a God or some kind of force then you should also believe that it is S/He that will be doing the judging, not humans. If there really is nothing after you die then well you wouldn't know..because you'd be dead..soo..yeah...

But basically yes, people should mind their own business to an extent THIS INCLUDES THOSE WHO OPPOSE. Though I think everyone can agree with me that there is nothing wrong with sharing your beliefs in a nice way and if the other person doesn't agree with you, say "I respect your beliefs and your right to believe that and I hope you do the same for me"and go on with your merry way.

I for one am a Christian Anarchist and instead of doing things like the Westboro Baptist Church does, I find showing God through me is much more impactful than hate. I want people to see that I am different from the rest, and hopefully they can see that there is something or someone in my life that has changed me or kept me different.

Bottom line is everyone has their own beliefs. Those who are religeous have the right to believe what they want WITHOUT getting laughed at or ridiculed, as well as those who don't.

Any agree-ers?

ahh but it is funny, when people who "advertise" their religion, they make some funny little mistakes.

Nobody has the right to force anything on anyone else

many people would disagree there.Their reasons would be this,
"I'm just trying to get you into my religion because i don't want you to go to hell"

or

"God says we should try to get everyone in the world into this religion because it's our duty to god"

so whoever tries to shove their religion down someone's throat is probably doing it because they believe their god said they should (please no jokes about "what???! god talked to them personally???!!!" because you know what i mean) try to get others to join their religion, they take it a little overboard.Pretty much half the people who try to get others to join their religion by going overboard, just do it so others will think of them as good people.

I think it's ok to try to talk to someone about your religion, but just don't take it overboard.
If someone joins a certain religion, they join after thinking about it thoroughly, not because someone hounded them day and night to switch religions. So yeah, people need to tone it down a little when they "advertise" :P

being a protestant, isnt this entire post an oxymoron? i totaly agree with what diesel has to say, but isnt that his beliefe that hes trying to force on other people? this next part is to soley play devils advocate here just to give a ballanced part of the story.

moral degeneration is a problem were forced to deal with today. morals are broken up and shatered over some tv shows and public issues. not saying that all tv should be sensored, but think of it this way, if the moral that you held the most dear was being publicly disgrased... and when i say publicaly, i mean nationaly. people act on that slight rage that they feel and blow it out of proportion only to have that falce rage amplified by people who feel the same way banding together. take watergate for example. if you dont know to much about history, its nixons scandle that involved a break in to the national democratic party building in dc to steal documentation. now this may sound bad, but scandals such as this were going on way before the advent of the tv or radio for that matter. the publics perception of thigs (in this case, this was the first widly followed scandle due to television) can change the cource of history, and now that their savy of whats going on, they think they have the rite to deside who gets caught and who dosnt. apply this senario to television ads and tv shows. stuff like this has been going on for ages now... degenerating slowly into a pit of public enlightenment. people fear that if the general public will become to knowlegeable, it will tear apart society because we dont all have a common idiea of whats rite and wrong... and society as we know it is built uppon millions and trillions of rite and wrong dississions every day and each one of those the general public will confront because it dosnt feel that its rite with their standards. i know its a bit long but hey, what can ya do
