Pls tell wats wrong with my bar

Pls tell me wats wrong and can u give some suggestions and how to do it like my font> its wrong i know but i dont know how to fix it. its visitor font 13. Im a noob in doing this.

Ok, first of all, what program do you use.

Here are a few suggestions.

1. Lower the opacity of the scanlines.

2. Put a border around the userbar.

3. For the text, make it smaller and change the anti-aliasing to "none"

For photoshop, it's the two A's and it might say sharp, smooth or strong. Switch that to "none".

I don't know about GIMP.

Forgot to lower the opacity of the scanlines, and make the background a bit brighter unless you want it that way. Otherwise, very nice.

Oh, and add a broder around the userbar and the text.

wat if i just pick a part of the pic and there is still transparent how should i fill that up.

You using photoshop?
if you do!!

1. For border just create a new layer on top of all and select all. Edit | Stroke
1px color black all other leave default.

2. On the scanlines lower the opacity to 15% normal.

bej, since you're totally new to PS, i suggest you get accustomed to the basics, that's how i started. there are a lot of tutorials detailing the use of all the tools and such, and how to import iamges and use them and transform them, i read a lot of that to get into it. Userbars are easy to make, but if you learn the overall basics, you'll not only make great bars but also great graphic work on the side.
