When i was 5 i watched my dad kill my whole family as i sat hidden in the closet hearing my sisters screams of terror and hearing that defining shot that seemed to last forever and then i watched as my dad put the shot gun barrel to his temple and blow his brains out as i sat there so i doubt my parents care about my wall paper.

the only problem i have with vista is its slow I have a Core2 Duo 1.7GHZ with 2 GB RAM and its really slow. I think vista needs 4GB ram to run smoothly. My XP laptop runs fine on 1GB... other than it i like the fresh look and feel of it but its just too darn slow for me.

dont have a laptop, just a desktop, and you already know the specs.... and i have never, ever had a problem with it.... not ONCE it has never frozen, nothing!

Try this at your own risk! and only if yoy already familiar working with your windows registry!

Remove All Icons from your Desktop

Here is how to remove all the icons on your desktop:

1. Start the Registry Editor
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Current Version \ Policies \ Explorer
3. From the menu select Edit > New > DWORD value
4. Name it NoDesktop
5. Double-click this entry and give it the value 1
6. Close the registry editor and reboot your computer

To restore the Icons on the desktop, you have to change the value of the NoDesktop Key to 0.
