PS3 or Xbox360?

Hello guys n gals, just wondering what peoples opinions are on the PS3 and Xbox360! :D or :cry:

I've got myself a PS3, but theres no decent games out for it yet. There seems to be a lot better games for the xbox and games are always cheaper.

I think i might have to purchase myself an xbox to be on the safe side. :D

I prefer my PC to any console for playing games, but ive always been loyal to the Play station family and thats not going to change now :D :lol:

WELL I GOT A PS3 AND I REALLY LIKE WARHAWK. I HAVE RAINBOW 6, gh3 legends of rock AND MADDAN 07 . IM LOOKIN FORWARD TO SOCOM 4 FOR THE PS3,MGS, AND HOME. crap im writing in caps! not my faul was doing a sercurity thing tht made me use caps and forgot 2 turn off. (back on topic!) i really love my ps3 for all the crap it can do, movies in blue-ray which i just tested out on my dads hd t.v and it looks freakin awesome! games,internet,music.but the most thing i love about my ps3 is remote play! turn my ps3 anywere in the world with a wifi spot and access my ps3 using my psp! now thts awesome. anyways im sure the ps3 will have plenty of games comin for it. its only been out for a year! give it a chance catch up. :P

of course the 360 has halo but i dont see the point in paying $300 on a system you play one game on. The Playstation also uses blueray and is a very powerful machine :)

Personally, if you have the Budget, I'd get both. Problem is, most gamers don't have the budget. In that case, Xbox is a lot better in my humble opinion because of the cheapness and variety of games/consoles, etc. If you are deep into competitive Game play, then Xbox Live is not to be rivaled in any way. Sure PS3 has free internet, but it seems much more complicated. Then again, I've only used the PS3 online one time, but I preferred my Xbox Dashboard/Guide combo.

Actually, sorry to tell you but PS3 does not have "way better graphics". They are basically the same, but on some games Ps3 is better and vice-versa. Here, Ill show you proof.

dang it swat, you beat me to it, lol, I just saw those pics earlier today actually

but I mainly blame the game designers for the graphics not being the same, its not their fault really though, as they still need to get used to the hardware and realize the fact that blu-ray has way more space than a dvd

now a fair fight on graphics would be to compare Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2, but both of them look amazing

I think people just need to realize that both are good systems and they need to figure out which one is better for them :)

PS3 is a better system but they don't have the games for it. Better graphics and controls and what not.

The xBox on the other hand is fun, but not as entrancing as the PS3.

Well i have ps3, but it has got flashing red light of death (same as xbox ring of death). Sony are sending me a new ps3 in 12 days and if i had a xbox with red ring of death do microsoft send you a new xbox :?:

no they would replace your hard drive and no not your memory you can keep that and a free 1 month free xbox live(i talk out experience)

an personal favourite would probally be Playstation 3(as my playstation 2 serve its purpose good for me). However, as you've probally just discovered, the game range for ps 3 is horrible. because of that, many people would prefer the xbox360.

although i tend to think of the playstation console(s) as more "original". the "horrible game range" would also depend on your taste of games. if you like those "games made based on movies" type games which strangely happens to be like, what 90% of the games produced now? then hell get any thing- it probally won't matter anyway. However, for the average gamer, the xbox360 would probally be a more attractive choice. That is unless you want to try and wait abit longer and keep hoping "Ah maybe some more good games for playstation will finally be released sometime soon".

haha 360 can be good when it works,

i'm on my 2nd 360 as of yesterday, got a brand new arcade system for under 100 quid :evil:

bit annoyed that the first one i bought cos me 160 second hand and has died twice now ( first time disc drive, 2nd time Error E74 ) lmao

so my personal fav would have to be the ps3 a few of my friends have got them, and wow so much better, no problems, free online instead of having to pay, better graphics, built in hard drive, bluray, and hi def as standard, it beats 360 into a topped hat, yeah the 360 has a few more games but that will change and it wont take forever lol

It has o be the xbox 360 all the way, it is a cheaper console, the games are generally cheaper. Microsoft has absolutley loads more xbox exclusive games mainly because they can afford to do it! The quality of games are better and then of course theres the new dashboard and to top it all, Xbox live which makes any game with online capabilities last twice as long, theres the market place, constant updates and lots of exclusive features

Well personally I don't have either (I mostly PC game), but I know a lot about both from my friends having them. Each have their pros and cons, but when it comes down to it I'd probably pick the PS3. I feel that Xbox's break all the time because people in school always complain about that. Sony had a quote I forgot where it was from but it said something like would you rather spend less for less quality or more for quality (referring to their PS3 over the Xbox).

Xbox 360 is you want online fun and great games.

Ps3 if you want Blu Ray Movies (They will overthrow DVD in the future)
-Music (Although on the Xbox you can play music too AND you can play whilst playing games)
-The DLC is good
- Online sucks
- Better graphics I must say


It all depends on what you prefer. But dont buy a Ps3 just for PS3's Home. Its not worth it. Home sucks. lol

I prefer the games on xbox, but thats just me, i also prefer the xbox controllers. They feel more natural in my hand, but hey everyone is different.
