i need a tutorial on how to make animated pictures please.

Making animated signatures is pretty easy in gimp.You put one layer above another,go to file>save as>put .GIF at the end of the signatures name.Then a new window will come and it will ask if you want to save it as a animation?click yes to that.And you'll understand the rest.I know i wasn't very clear lol

First you need to have a clear idea what animations are.. animations are images created from several frames (layers). It come up as an animation as you see one frame after the other appear.

In GIMP , its simple to make this

first open a new layer and write something like "hackgod" .
open another layer and keep it blank
now open layers window and double click on the name of each layer and write (100ms) and press enter. (this is the set time between the two frames(layers))

Now save the image as .gif and you can very well see the text blink :D

this is a simple animation.. first learn simple then move on!

If you dont know how to open layers, write text, then i must say " learn the software first, then come to animation" :D

DewfizT it's best to do animation in PS after you have some experience in using it.
