Okay, so for some time I said I've been wanting to download GIMP. Well, :D I'm about 4 minutes from having it, according to my computer. I know, probably seems like a trivial thing to get excited about, but I've been wanting it for over a month. I tried to download it at one point and it didn't work.
However...now I can play around with sig/avatar making some more (YEAH!). I'm an artist at heart, so I suppose that's why I'm so ecstatic over this. Since there's no one else here in my house at the moment I thought I'd share it on SB. *shrugs* Am I the only person who gets all happy over stuff like this?? Oh! less than a minute and a half now! anyway...

One problem, though; I can't figure it out. I tried to follow a couple different tutorials, but they just confused me. Can anyone suggest a good beginners tutorial or maybe offer some helpful advice for this situation? It'd be highly appreciative.

Yeah, about that. I tried a couple in the tutorial section. One was just really confusing and the other one led me to some sort of a forum for GIMP tutorials. I tried to do two of them, but I couldn't find one that started with the very basics. Maybe it was just bad luck, though. I'm going to go try out the link that noobie gave me and see what happens. After spending several hours stumbling around on my own with it I finally made one - it looks really cool and more professional than I thought I'd be able to do. I'll have to post it when I can get back on photobucket again.

The current avatar I'm using is one I did last night. :) Still can't get to photobucket, but someday I will again, lol.
