November 11th 1918. The Germans sign the Armistice at the 11th hour thus ending the Great War.
This day has now been recognized as Remembrance Day, for those who fought in all the conflicts to date.

Being a history buff and having family who served in the Korean War, I will be holding a moment of silence in remembrance of the duty that these men and women did to create the world that we live in today.

In Memoriam of all those who serve and who served:

Flanders Field
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.
