How to resize image?Well!

How to resize image very well. Because whenever i resize them. It gets ugly. because its being lowered so well. I'm using the IMAGE SIZE" Its so hard. Whenever i resize. + I can't control in resizing

ok go file>place open your image then click ok then it sjould pop up onto your canvas hold shift and grab one of the black box thingies and push and pull to your liking just make shure you have a hold of the shift button!

Umm it didn't work. Because it said
" Could not complete your request because the layer is locked "

So i put a layer. So when i put a layer. And follow what you said " This happens again " - " Could not transform because the initial bounding rectangle is empty " T_T i'm so noob

Or is it cool enough

crop will delete canvas not make the image smaller

when a background is locked, just dup the bg layer, and then have that layer selected and hit ctrl-t, then hold shift while resizing

cool ty loki i didnt know that also i pretty shure placeing it stops the layer being locked

the bottom most layer which is called background is always locked by default in photoshop
to get ur way around it, just duplicate it
or
just double click on it, that will make it a layer (layer 0 ) instead of a locked background, and then you can continue doing the regular tasks on it
