I've noticed a few people come back for new sigs and still only have 12 or 13 posts, I was think maybe you should have it 10 posts for every sig?
I dunno, I'm just thinking that yes we are slowing down the requests by making the 10 post rule, but the returning requesters are getting another sig strait away and then leaving.
Just thought I'd share my opinion.

The fact that they came back is perfect in my opinion, so to ask them to keep posting isnt a great idea, as long as they keep using the site, thats brill, wether it be for general chat or just to request, it means they like what we do and will continue to use us :D

you could sell them your sigs for sigbar points, so when they request a sig they can then go and earn some sigbar points, but only charge a small fee like 20 points or something. i duno might be a daft idea.

IMHO ( I know I'm new here ). It makes sense to charge sigbar points for a new sig.
Rather than say "10 posts means you get a sig request acknowledged" you could charge varying set amounts for a first sig, repeat sig etc.
It amounts to effectively the same thing but encourages community rather than just traffic. . .
I know, I know, I'm just a newborn here and really have no right to be speaking on such things. Maybe it's because I'm all fresh faced that I see this - You certainly seem not only a welcoming community but one that seems very happy to give up ( potentially ) alot of your time to help people after a very short period on the boards.
Surely if someone is returning for a second sig it really isn't to much to ask that they contribute - even if it's only the odd word of encouragement to others?
