View Full Version : Rules for requests
Ever since I've been here the requests are usually flooded with people who just post without reading the rules and such.
Which is why I think it would be a great idea to have it so that when you go into request forums the rules and format is in big bright red colors above the forum.
IDEALLY, it would be sweet if that when you went to post a new thread in those forums that you got a screen with the rules on it and they have to maybe scroll the the whole thing or select a box or something before going to the post form.
OR, somehow have it so that all they have to do is fill out fields and then it posts for them.
The form thing could also be programed to only allow those with 10 posts, certain amount of sigpoints, or whatever.
I dunno, just some ideas to make the whole request filling easier.

I think instead on 10 posts it should be 15 or maybe 100 points.
What do you think?
well, thats not really the point I was getting at...

Well, about the rules, maybe you need to do a warning meter.

You need to scroll through the rules before you can get to the post.

1.) Yes with VBulletin you can much more easily enforce access protocals on various forums, e.g. 10,20,30 post access.
2.) I understand what you're saying etha, maybe for a starters the 10 post limitation on access would actually prevent the NON RULE READERS. if however that didnt work yes we could quite easily paste something as soon as you hit the REQUEST forums in general (And in bigger font).
I guess once we move we will see if the 10 post access limitation does anything for NON Rule followers if it doesnt then maybe what you suggest can also be trialled...

As a noob at this and a NON RULE READER myself, I was quickly humbled by, Noobie. Hence, I have gone through all the rules now and understand why you have them. Kudos to the admin/moderator staff for keeping a heads up. Getting interested in doing sigs, avatars and the such, I did a Google search and found this site and I gotta say, I have not been disappointed. Great job guys!!

Also, as a question, when you upgrade this forum, will you be able to add more animated emoticons like what they have when you post, reply, email and pm on I gaming site I visit often, which is:

Just a thought if it's a viable option.
